Pura Vida Beverage Company was born on the beaches and in the jungles of Costa Rica, where surf culture, wellness, music, art, and vibrant Latin American traditions come together like a magical infusion—blending rhythm, nature, and bold tropical flavor into something unforgettable. Conceived during long surf trips down the Pacific coast—from Witches Rock, Grande, and Negra; the golden sands of Guanacaste; to the remote, lush beach breaks of Puntarenas, down to Pavones, and to the Caribbean salsa of Puerto Viejo—Pura Vida was inspired by the real-life fusion of kindred spirits from Costa Rica, California, Argentina, and Brazil, united by ocean waves, beach bonfires, music, and community.
In places like Santa Teresa, Nosara, Dominical, and Pavones, a conscious crew of surfers, seekers, yogis, and nature lovers came together—bound by a shared love for movement, mindfulness, and living with purpose. Rooted in the pura vida way of life, they honored the land, protected the ocean and the animals, and celebrated the beauty of living simply, naturally, and freely.
That spirit became the mantra of Pura Vida: to celebrate life with the goodness of the earth. To let plants, fruits, roots, and mushrooms nourish the body and uplift the soul. To rise—together—powered by nature, guided by purpose, and connected through community.
